This project was released in March 2005 and closes on the 31st May 2005
or earlier if fully subscribed.
This project is the fourth offering of this project and continues to
draw on strong fundamental research, management experience and
established markets for this Rewards project. The 2004 project closed
early due to oversubscriptions, therefore if you have any interest we
would urge you to act quickly.
Location
The Tropical Fruits Project
2005 is located on the Ord River Irrigation Area, near Kununurra in the
Kimberly Region of Western Australia. The ORIA is a large irrigated
horticultural region that sources its water from nearby Lake Argyle.
Lake Argyle is a massive storage reservoir built in the 1960’s that
created a lake that is in excess of 1000 square kilometres in area, and
has the volume of 13 times the size of Sydney Harbour. This abundance of
water and a 12 month growing season has resulted in the ORIA becoming a
recognised region for the production of high valued horticultural
products.
The Investment
The project
will result in the establishment and operation of intensively managed
irrigated mango and red flesh grapefruit orchards. The offer is for to
Retail Groves of 0.1 hectare each at an issue price of $7,000.00 per
Grove. The full term of the Scheme is expected to be approximately 20
years, with a crop every year including the first year.
