Grain Co-Production Project 2008 (closed)

Grain Co-Production (GCP) is an innovative investment opportunity that enables investors to participate directly in one of Australia's largest and most established industries. By investing in investment units or "Co-Production Units", investors themselves become a wheat producer.

GCP is effectively an extension to the Australian Ethos of share-farming. A professional wheat farmer or "Contract Farmer" provides the land, equipment, materials and expertise and the investor or "Grower" provides the capital to produce a wheat crop. The Contract Farmer plants, manages and harvests the crop whilst the Grower owns the growing crop and harvested grain and takes on the full risks associated with the production and sale of the grain.

This innovative product offers tax advantages and real returns over the life of the Project. The term of the investment is for three seasons. The season commences with planting (normally between April and May) and ends with harvest (normally between November and January) each year.

The Investment

The initial establishment fee is $4,400 (inc.GST) and the project has a 3 year term.
